Water is vital to humans. The longest we can survive without drinking water is only 5 days. A side from the water our body needs to properly function, we also use water to grow crops, cook our food, take a bath, clean our surroundings, make machines run smoothly.
But water is not unlimited. It is fast depleting. By 2025, more than half of the world's population may not have enough water to use. So Its important to use water wisely. Here are some ways we can save water.

1. Catch the dip- If your faucet is leaking, catch the drips until you can have it found. One drop of water per second can waste the faucet to catch the water. Use the saved water to water a plant, flush a toilet, or clean the floor. A leaking faucet can fill a coffee cup in 10 minutes, so make sure your container is big enough to catch all the drips.

2. Convert to another-saving toilet-There are toilets that actually use less water to flush it. But if you can't afford to buy one, then here's a home remedy: put a bleach bottle inside the toilet tank. Fill the bottle with water, cap it tightly, then put it in the tank after you flush it. The average toilet uses 3-7 gallons of  water per flush. Leaving the bottle in the tank will displace 1/2 to 1 gallon of water, thus saving water and money every time you flush.

3. Don't shower- we're not advising you to not take a bath. (You would smell) But instead of taking a shower, you may want to use a pail and dipper (in Tagalog :kabo"). There's less water wasted that may be cause  you can control the amount of water you use. (just four people taking a 5 minute shower actually uses up to 700 gallons in one water.) Or if you really must take a shower, use a low-flow shower head and save at least 14,000 gallons of water every year. If 100,000 families installed low-flow shower heads, we could save 1.4 billion gallons of water!
